Terms of Sale and Use
Last updated: October 29, 2026
1. Who we are
Edit House is a trade name operated by Jaufrey Colardelle, sole proprietor (entrepreneur individuel), 6 B rue des Piques, 57000 Metz, France. SIRET 949 998 371 00023. Contact: [email protected].
2. What you buy
Sub.Art is a software extension for Adobe Premiere Pro that creates animated captions. When you buy Sub.Art, you buy a license to use the software, not the software itself. Sub.Art is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe. Premiere Pro is sold separately by Adobe.
3. Ordering and payment
Orders are processed by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoicing and sales tax, and its own buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Prices are shown including VAT where applicable.
4. License types
- Lifetime license: one payment. You can use Sub.Art with no time limit and receive updates for as long as we develop Sub.Art.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions: renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your customer portal or by emailing us. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Free trial: when offered, the trial gives full access for the stated number of days. If you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and is charged.
- Founder offer: a lifetime license sold at a launch price to a limited number of early members, for a limited time.
5. Delivery and activation
After payment you receive a download link and a license key by email. Each license key can be active on up to 2 computers at the same time. You can move a license by deactivating it on one computer and activating it on another. Sub.Art needs an internet connection to activate and to check the license from time to time.
6. What you can and can't do
You may use Sub.Art for personal and commercial projects. Captions you create with Sub.Art belong to you. You may not resell, share, rent or publish your license key, copy or redistribute the software, or try to bypass the license check.
7. Transcription
Sub.Art can use the transcription built into Premiere Pro. If you choose cloud transcription, your audio is sent to a third-party speech-to-text provider for processing only, and is not used by us for any other purpose. Cloud transcription may be subject to fair-use limits.
8. Requirements
Sub.Art requires a recent version of Adobe Premiere Pro on macOS or Windows. Please check the requirements listed on our site before buying. You can try Sub.Art and ask for a refund if it doesn't work on your setup (see our refund policy).
9. Updates and support
We may update Sub.Art to fix bugs, add features or stay compatible with Premiere Pro. Support is provided by email at [email protected].
10. Warranty and liability
Sub.Art is provided as is. We work to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or compatible with every future version of Premiere Pro. Always keep backups of your projects. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
If you breach these terms, for example by sharing your license key, we may deactivate your license.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. In case of a dispute, please contact us first. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
